Aberystwyth has always been a popular university. It is a long time since I left, but I will always remember the lasting impression that it left on me and my fellow students at the time.

It is disappointing for the students who have missed out on visiting this wonderful place, but at the same time, the university is just the right size for the town, and I don’t think it should expand.

That was always the beauty of the place. Wherever you went, you recognised people.
