Ceredigion CAMRA was formed back in 2007.
It is a branch of the national Campgain For Real Ale organisation, and was built on the foundations of a much previously informal branch in the area.
The organisations members come from across North Ceredigion, with those closer to Cardigan working with Carmarthern CAMRA.
CAMRA is an organisation which looks to preserve and promote the drinking of real ale in Britain.
Working with smaller craft breweries up and down the country, as well as local pubs the organisation is helping to put real ale back on the map, and as a whole it is now more popular than at any time since the second world war.
The Ceredigion branch is no exception, and holds regular meetings and events to allow people to get involved, as well as sample real ale. They also award a local pub with the award of Pub Of The Year to promote the good work they have done.
British real ale is something of a heritage, and is unique to this country and as such it is something to be preserved and protected for generation to come.
