Borth Bog (also known as Cors Fochno in Welsh) in the only UNESCO biosphere reserve in the whole of Wales.

Situated just north of Aberystwyth, the raised peat bog is now a nature reserve which sits just behind the village of Borth. A large expanse of the bog was at one time reclaimed as farmland some years ago.

And not only is it the only biosphere reserve in Wales, but it is also one of only two reserves of its kind on the entire plant, and is home to a diverse range of wetlands, marshes, scrubland, wildlife and plants.
