This Friday is Bonfire Night in Aberystwth and the rest of the UK!
A night that celebrates Guy Fawkes and his band of men, by doing something they never quite managed to achieve……
BLOWING UP PLENTY OF GUN POWDER.
Ok, well it might not quite be gun powder, but a combination of the elements – magnesium, lithium, sodium and about 15 others used in order to create magnificent displays of colour along with a measure of black powder (a propellant for bullets) which makes sure they make it off the ground.
For your chance to see some great fireworks this Friday, then head on down to the home of Aberystwyth Town FC on Parc Avenue, gates open at 6pm and fireworks start at 8pm (and if it rains you can sit in the stands too!).
Entry costs £2 for children and £3 for adults and the event has been organised by the Aberystwyth Round Table.
