Starting March 1st an innovative new production will be hitting the streets of Aberystwyth.
Outdoors uses street theatre to explore the routes taken by members of the local Heartsong Choir.
With a combination of Ipod, sound and performance 12 people per performance will be immersed in the streets and sights of the town.
Produced by the National Theatre Wales in conjunction with Rimini Protokoll, a German based avant garde theatre company, this is one of several successful productions commisioned by the National Theatre.
The production will run every Tuesday evening during term time, and well known practitioner John Mcgrath, who is head of Artistic Director at the National Theatre Wales is certainly excited by the production.
He has cited Rimini Protokoll as a group which has done excellent work with groups of non actors, and this performance certainly looks to make the best of all the 25 members of Heartsong Choir, also including a real singing performance at the very end.
Altogether the production will last for a year, come rain or shine, every Tuesday evening. For more information and to book online, please click here.
