This years Christmas production is almost upon us!
And for 2010 the Aberystwyth Arts Centre welcomes the Wizard of Oz to the stage for a total of 12 jaw dropping performances.
This promises to be the biggest and boldest Christmas production ever to appear from behind the curtains in Aberystwyth.
You are invited to join Dorothy and her three magical new friends, as they explore the wonderful land of Oz and meet the Wizard who helps them to obtain their heart’s desires. But you better keep your eye out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her troop flying monkeys who could spoil the party at any moment during this fantastic musical extravaganza which is suitable for all the family.
This year Aberystwyth Arts Centre will be presenting the RSC Version of the show, which has developed from the ever popular screenplay loved by millions around the world. You will be able to share in all of the much-loved songs from this award winning and widely celebrated movie score. Keeping you entertained all night long, a mix of your favourite characters, going through all the iconic moments from The Wizard of Oz this Christmas!
Following the previous Christmas productions at the Arts Centre such as The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, the Arts Centre has set out to stage a superb version of this classic story of good against evil!
The show features a number special guest performances, and is directed by local director Richard Hull, whilst being choreographed by Rachel West. Ric Lloyd will also be keeping all the cast in tune as Musical Director.
The show will run from Friday 10th December to Wednesday 22nd December and tickets cost between £10 – £12 per person, with family tickets costing just £35.
